Assignments

Homework Assignments.

Assignments will be given out approximately one per week (every Friday). Most of the assignments need to be handed in for grading. Assignments will be due 11:30 a.m. on the Friday, one week after being given out.

Assignments solutions are to be written out in full. All working must be shown. Some assignments will include multiple choice questions. In that case only your choice needs to be indicated clearly on your answer sheet.

Please note:

• Your name and student number must be clearly printed on each page you are handing in.
• Pages must be stapled together.

Assignments are to be placed in the assignment IN boxes, labeled THEATRE 103, located across the foyer from the entrance to the lecture theatre 103, (near the top of the stairs leading to the basement). Place your assignment in the slot corresponding to the first letter of your family name. They are to be placed in the slots before the Friday lecture starts. They will be picked up from there at noon (during the lecture). You can only put assignments in the slots during the 15 minutes before the commencment of the lecture.

If you are not able to attend on a Friday when an assignment is due, you will have to hand in your assignment earlier. In that case you will have to hand the assignment in directly to me. If I am not available when you wish to hand in your assignment then give it to one of the Department secretaries in room 163 (or 162) and ask them to put it in my mail slot. Do not simply slide your assignment under the door of my office. Assignments have been known to go missing that way.

Late assignments will not be accepted unless prior arrangements have been made. Assignments not handed in will simply count zero toward your final assignment grade. Assignment solutions will be posted on Friday afternoon. No assignments will be accepted after the solutions have been posted.

Marked assignments can be picked up from from the assignment OUT boxes, located next to the IN boxes, before the Friday lecture usually one week after they were handed in. Assignment scores may be viewed through the scores link.
